Anglia Farmers will again this year be serving our Bacchus 2014 at the members lunch on the Wednesday and Thursday. We hope you have a wonderful show!
Come and enjoy a walk and talk around the Humbleyard vineyard, and then a tasting in the vineyard of our wines on the evening of the 15th June 2016. We are meeting at 6pm on the carpark at Paddock Farm Shop, NR14 8JT. Please send us an email to firstname.lastname@example.org or drop into the shop to register if interested, thanks!
The long awaited first white and rosè sparkling wines arrived this week just in time for Christmas! Made in the traditional method of secondary fermentation, aged in the bottle, they are perfect for festive period celebrations. £21 a bottle, £20 for two or more, and a case of 6 for £110.
It’s here! Humbleyard High Spirit No.1, triple-distilled from our rose wine, is a sophisticated artisan drink to be enjoyed straight, over ice or as a cocktail base. A vibrant cherry pink in appearance, with full rich flavours and the kick of a spirit. Mellow notes of summer berries and hints of caramel and spice on the palate. High Spirit No.1, the spirit of rose, the perfect drink anywhere, anytime. At 30% ABV, it is in a beautiful 25cl bottle. On sale at Paddock Farm Shop and online.
Come and enjoy an informal evening at the vineyard and the farm shop at Paddock Farm, Mulbarton, at 4 pm on Wednesday the 30th of September. We’ll meet at 4 pm at the farm shop and then have a wander around the vines pre -harvest and then a tasting of the eight 2013/2014 wines with nibbles in the shop. Do let us know if you’d like to come via email. Look forward to seeing you!
The 2014 vintage wines are nearly all in store. Do visit the online shop or come and see us at Paddock Farm shop for the new Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc 2014 whites. The medium white Reichensteiner and medium 2014 Rose will be with us in the next fortnight. Tasting / Tour dates to come!
We are just awaiting our Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay to be labelled, later this week, and then we’ll put them, alongside the 2014 Solaris and Bacchus onto the online shop for sale.
Red and Sparking are lined up for later in the year!
A competitive showing this year at the 2015 awards with over 70 East Anglia wines entered and Humbleyard were up amongst the winners! Considering the wonderful harvest in 2014, it was perhaps surprising that there were only half the amount of medals awarded for the 2014 vintage as there were in 2013, with only one gold and a handful of silvers. Humbleyard Bacchus picked up one of only 6 silvers, and the Solaris was awarded a bronze. The nationals next…!
Pleased to report that the first of the 2014 wines are on sale in the shop from mid May. The 2014 Solaris, a lovely dry white to rival the Bacchus. Our 2014 Bacchus really is exceptional, and we’re looking forward to see how it gets on in the regional and national competition, in a year which the quality will be high due to the great harvest of 2014. We’ll have our white Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Reichensteiner back in June, along with the Rose. Red and sparkling later in the summer!
Its time to start tying down the vines as the buds think of bursting, fingers crossed the sharp frosts stay away!
