Tours and Tastings 2019

July 17, 2019 By Oliver

A mild winter and glorious spring have hopefully set the vineyard up for another bountiful year.  With the pruning nearly finished and tying down of the vines ahead of us, our Summer Tours and Tastings are fast approaching.  A popular, informative and relaxed evening amongst the vines with lots of chat, wine and nibbles to enjoy, we recommend you book early to avoid disappointment.

We’ll meet at 5.30pm at Paddock Farm Shop, (with appropriate footwear for a walk!), an hour of walking and talking in the vineyard and then a tasting of a number of still and sparkling wines with a nibble or two, finishing at about 7.30/8pm. £10 pp.

Average numbers on the evening are 15 – 25 people. We are happy to take exclusive group bookings of 15+ people for the evenings.

OUR LISTED DATES FOR THIS YEAR ARE CURRENTLY ALL FULL, BUT PLEASE EMAIL US AT info@humbleyardenglishwine.co.uk

IN CASE OF CANCELLATIONS AND TO REGISTER INTEREST FOR THIS YEAR AND NEXT

Many Thanks!

Grape harvest is suddenly here!

September 16, 2016 By Oliver

The much needed and long awaited late summer that we have just enjoyed has confounded all the expectation of a late harvest for 2016, and some of the grapes have reached ripeness by mid September.  Great news for the vintage and hopefully even the stubborn late ripening varieties like Sauvignon Blanc will hit the target this year.

We won’t be holding any more public walks and talks due to the harvest and failing evening light, but do get in contact if you would like to come to one of the evenings next year.

We will have some evening tastings at the shop before Christmas – details to follow!

June 13, 2016 By Oliver

Our new 2015 rose is back in bottle and on sale in Paddock Farm Shop.  This delicate Gold Rose, made from the gentle pressing of the Cabernet Cortis grape, is a unique golden wine with a pinkish hue.  Hints of red currant on the palate, fresh and dry in character.  A lovely summer wine.
